Success.

We crave it, dream about it, and chase it relentlessly like a hound out of hell.

Success is not for the faint-hearted, in fact, most people never succeed.

According to research by Scranton University, 92% of people are unsuccessful in achieving their goals while 8% actually succeed.

Like everyone else, I am not immune. My life thus far is a classic example of success and derailments along the way. Goals change, and life happens.

Now as a type A, the derailments are annoying as hell, but being human, I am well aware that it's all arbitrary and I can start again.

The 8% that succeed are not mythical hydras with several heads. They are just like you and I. The only difference is that they are willing to do what the 92% are unwilling to.

For instance, they are willing to;

  • Be specific in their goals- Their goals are clear. They know they can't save everyone, so they focus on the issues they can solve. They identify their niche, find the pain points, and move accordingly.
  • Be passionate and committed- Having specific and challenging goals is great, but there is nothing magical about it if the work isn’t done…
